The Adelaide Hills has high altitude, a wet cool growing season, and dry summer, which allows the fruit to mature fully at a slower pace than in other regions. This cool climate is perfect for Pinot Noir. It is accepted that Adelaide Hills is, and will remain, South Australia's premium producer of Pinot Noir. The majority of the fruit was was fermented in a combination of traditional hand plunged open vats and larger potter tanks.
This Pinot has abundant varietal cherry and strawberry aromas, with complex forest-floor undertones. It is a soft but generously flavoured style of Pinot Noir, with rich sweet fruit in the middle and back palate, complemented by subtle savoury oak, and smooth tannins.
